As a result, she served as an active member of the Eastern Star and Culture Club for many years and was also a member of the Methodist Church of Raymond.
Although Ms. Sutterfield always claimed Raymond as home, she resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Larry Harvey, Sr., in Utica, MS for the last twenty years. During this time, she attended Learned Presbyterian Church.
