Thomas was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on June 10, 1962 to parents John Edward and Martina (Fitzgerald) McQuaid Sr. In his late 40’s he changed careers and attended Vatterott College where he attained an associate’s degree in heating and air conditioning. He then went on to own and operate McQuaid Heating and Air Conditioning Co.
He was a true family man who loved his girls and grandchildren. Thomas took care of everyone, even non-family members. He would drop everything to help someone. He loved his lifted trucks and enjoyed working on cars, once, with his brother-in-law, restored a 1966 GTO from the ground up. Thomas enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and loved his guns. He was a huge Cleveland Browns fan and would be so thrilled watching them head into the playoffs.
Thomas is survived by his wife Christina (Chipps) McQuaid and daughters Megan (Anthony) McQuaid-Flaitz and Monica (Vincent) Miles. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Ethan, Leona, Colton and Lincoln Flaitz and Liam & Parker Miles. Left also to cherish his memory are his brothers John (Karen) McQuaid, Charles “Chuck” (Lonna) McQuaid and his mother-in-law Della Malone.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Lou Schenk and his brother William Fitzgerald.
