Shirley Jean Wolfe

Shirley was born in Akron, Ohio on August 3, 1934 to parents Delbert and Marjory Craig.

Formerly of Rootstown, Ohio, she had been residing with her daughter in Akron. She was a homemaker for many years raising her family, then went on to enjoy a 16 year career as a medical assistant retiring in 1986. Shirley had a beautiful voice and loved music. She enjoyed singing in trios in church, first at the Akron Baptist Temple and then at the New Milford Baptist Church in Rootstown where she was a member for many years. She liked to work in her yard and garden and enjoyed the company of her two cats.

Shirley is survived by her children: Marcy Wolfe of Akron, Ohio and Jeff (Lissa) Wolfe of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves her siblings: Duane (Patricia) Craig, Harvey (Marjanna) Craig, Richard (Penny) Craig and Linda (Marvin) Shrager.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 41 years, Earl Wolfe.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 1:30pm until the 2:30pm funeral service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
