Roger was born in Charlestown, W.Va. to parents Autie and Gladys (Adams) Salisbury on April 28, 1942.
Roger was retired from Zircoa Inc. after 29 years of service in the shipping department. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid guitar player, influenced by his favorite artist Chet Atkins. Roger was an faithful pillar of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Aurora where he was a Deacon for 52 years, taught adult Sunday school for 51 years, and played guitar for the congregation and Star of Bethlehem Trio for more than 50 years.
Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years, Julie (Angle) Salisbury and his children: Roger (Vanessa) Salisbury Jr., Curt (Michelle) Salisbury and Christy Bowne. He also leaves his beloved 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His sister Bonnie Nelson also survives Roger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Delma Oiler, Ford Rose and Garnett Perry.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10am-12pm. Funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Angle and Rev. Tom Tyler will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
