Mr. McCoy was born to parents George C. and Ovada McCoy in Randolph, Ohio on January 2, 1940. Robert was a carpet installer over his life and was an avid organic gardener. He also loved pickle ball and socializing with his numerous friends.
Surviving Robert is his daughter Irene (Gary Yawn) McCoy, his brother Paul (Marilyn) McCoy and his sister Mary Elizabeth Shaffer. He also leaves his grandchildren: Sarah, Jordan, and Connor Yawn, Jeremy Drake, great-granddaughter Scarlett Sofia Drake and many loving relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Judy McCoy, his parents, his brother Donald McCoy and his nephew Donald Jeffrey McCoy.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM where funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Ballert officiating. Interment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
