Robert Dale Hall

Robert was born in Akron, Ohio on September 30, 1933 to parents George S. and Stella A. Hall. He graduated from Hower Vocation High School and went on to spend 40 years as a steelworker for Burger Iron & Steel hence Bico Co. Robert was a member of the steelworkers union and a member of the Suffield United Church of Christ. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy serving four years during the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon and Navy Occupation Medal. Robert was a fisherman and hunter who also enjoyed working in his yard and loved flower gardening with his ever faithful Jack Russell terrier “Rudy” by his side.

Robert is survived by his wife Joanne (Grady) Hall. He is also survived by his sons: Brian (Jayne) Hall of Charleston, W.Va., Randy (Terri) Hall of Atwater, Michael (Carolyn) Hall of Akron, Wayne (Kim) Hall of Atwater and his daughter, Donna (Don) Dawkins of Champion, Ohio. Surviving also are his 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his brother, Donald Hall of Akron.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Norma Hall and Wanda Carroll, and his grandchildren: Laura Hall and Matthew Dawkins.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 8, 2011 with Pastor Wally Schofield officiating. Inurnment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
