Rita Pinney, 83, of Ravenna, passed away on October 28, 2024.
Rita was born in Berlin, Germany on April 20, 1941 to parents Adolph and Charlotte (Knispel) Pinney. She immigrated to the United States after meeting her husband Burt while he was stationed in Berlin.
Rita had been a long-time resident of Ravenna and was a homemaker. She enjoyed socializing and playing tickets at the Ravenna VFW. Rita was a terrific cook, making many homemade German dishes. Most of all she loved her family and spoiling her grandson.
Rita is survived by her son Frank Pinney, grandson Daniel C. Pinney and daughter-in-law Tammy Pinney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Burt E. Pinney, her daughter Pamela Pinney and her brother Jürgen Knispel.
Per her wishes, cremation is being honored and inurnment with her husband will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
