She was born December 14, 1922, in Lewis County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William C. and Lena Jane (Groff) Skinner. Pauline was a beloved mother and grandmother, and is now reunited with her husband John. She retired as a custodian from Waterloo High School in 2000. Pauline was an active member of the Liberty Bible Church in Atwater, where she belonged to the Belles and Beaus, helped in the nursery, and was one of the “cookie ladies” for Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her children Thomas (Cheryl) Getz of Hartville and Robyn (Phillip) Kelley of Edinburg; grandchildren: Daniel T. Young, Felicia L. Young, Forrest Miller, and Andrew (April) Miller; great-granddaughter: Brittany J. Miller; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Getz, her brothers Ray and Jack Skinner, and her sister June Claybourne.
Friends will be received Friday, December 3, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Paul Phillips on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
