Patricia M. West

Patricia was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 18, 1933 to parents Alden and Clara (Doerfliner) Ryder. She had been a resident of Ravenna for 59 years. Patricia enjoyed bowling in many different leagues over the years and loved painting and doing puzzles. She liked scratching instant lottery tickets and enjoyed taking casino trips with her daughter. Patricia loved the outdoors, tending her vegetable and flower gardens and always sported a healthy tan by being outside so much. She also enjoyed traveling and camping.

Patricia is survived by her children: Linda (Ron) Lamendola, Sharon Ensinger and Roy (Mary) West. Left also to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Ronnie Lamendola, Brian (Krissy) Ensinger, Bethany Ensinger, Sarah (Lee) Boring, Gregory West and great-grandchildren: Trey, Lilly, Jackson and Violet. Also surviving is her brother George (Carol) Ryder, brother-in-law Darrell (Doris) West, sister-in-law Elgene West and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 56 years, Roy L. West Sr. who passed away May 5th, 2009, her brother Alden L. Ryder Jr. and her sisters: Ida C. (John) Ruda and Grace M. Carroll.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm where funeral services, officiated by Rev. David Misbrener, will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 9th. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.

Patricia’s family would expresses their sincere gratitude to everyone at Hospice of the Western Reserve for their compassionate care given to Patricia. We could not have asked for better.

Memorial donations in Patricia’s name would be appreciated and can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Ravenna Township Fire Department.
