Patricia Lee Dawson Saunders

She was born December 21, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Collins) Dawson. Patricia was an avid reader and helped establish the Stow Presbyterian Church Library. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star – Palmy Chapter, and enjoyed traveling, music, and art.

She is survived by her children: Cherie (John) Benedik of Kent, James (Karen) Engle of Huron, Ohio, Teri (William) Hilton of Lorton, Virginia, Thomas Engle of Arlington, Texas; step-son: Bill Saunders of Lakewood, Ohio; as well as 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husbands James Engle and Grant Saunders, her brother Bruce Dawson, her sister Joyce Kloos, and her grandson Benjamin Benedik.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be officiated by Dr. David Weyrick at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fishcreek Rd., Stow, OH 44224. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
