He was born June 9,1956 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Helen and Frank Dudek.
Myron graduated from Ravenna High School in 1975 where he wrestled at 175 on the Ravens First Metro League championship team. He attended Kent State University and proudly served four years in the U.S.Army and participated in the weight lifting team. He was thrilled to serve two years of his military commitment in Germany, where he was able to practice his German and spend holidays with relatives in Frankfort.
Myron enjoyed all sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and Guardians. He also had a passion for writing short stories, poems and letters. He was employed by Pepsi when he resided in Florida and retired from Sta-Warm Electric in Ravenna.
He will be dearly missed by his loving mother Helen and son Andrew. He also leaves to cherish his memory, sisters Emmy Haiflich and Kathy Schley (Dave), brothers Frank, Ray, Larry “Joe” and Nick. Also his childhood friend Mike Shilling (Barb), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Frank, brother-in- law Marc Haiflich and sister-in-law Sandra Dudek.
The family wishes to thank special friends Steve, Jan and Bill for their support. Special gratitude to the staff of the Woodlands for their compassionate care and also the Ravenna VA, especially Dr. Marqua and Dr. Leonard.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna, from 12pm until the 1pm memorial service ,officiated by Don Kainrad.
