Madge Marie Wood Poling

She was born in Mill Creek, West Virginia, on May 13, 1933, to the late Walter and Nellie Wood. Madge graduated from Elkins High School in 1951. She married the late Robert L. Poling the same year, on June 1, 1951.

Madge retired from Revco DS and loved all animals, taking in many strays over the years.

Madge is survived by three children; Robert Poling (Sharon), of Ravenna; Karen Oswalt (Michael), of Centerville, OH; and Kevin Poling-Vasquez (Andrew), of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Betty McCoy, Evalena Noble, Aretta Wood, and brother Dana Wood. Also preceding her death was her grandson Marshall Tomey.

Madge’s wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends will be received on Saturday, December 10, 2016, from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM. Private inurnment will take place at Windham Township Cemetery.
