Lois A. Enlow, 75, of Ravenna passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. Lois was born in the Bronx, New York, on November 12, 1946, to the late Louis and Edith Weber. She graduated from Tenafly High School in New Jersey and attended Ohio University where she met her husband of 54 years, John. She later graduated from Kent State University.
Her careers were varied. She served as a secretary for the principal of Ravenna High School and secretary for the Ravenna United Methodist Church. She taught Home Economics at Ravenna High School for many years and her last job was Director of the Board of Elections for Portage County. Lois was a people person. She enjoyed meeting and working with people.
Lois was an avid reader who enjoyed the beach, her swimming pool, traveling, Kent State basketball, and the Cleveland Guardians (Indians). She served on the University Hospitals of Portage Medical Center Board Foundation and served on the Board of Directors for Reed Memorial Library. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Kent.
Lois leaves behind her loving husband, John, sons, Jeffrey (Amy) and Scott, grandchildren: Leah, Sofia, Aubrey, and Harper.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer, and her sister Christine Weber.
A celebration of life will be held at the United Methodist Church of Kent at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, with calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
