Karen Sue Diskes, age 78, of Atwater, passed away September 7, 2023.
She was born May 25, 1945, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Walter and Mariane (Tschumy) Plaskonka. Karen graduated from Atwater High School and Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing, where she received awards for proficiency in nursing care. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Karen is survived by her sister Iris Valasek, her son John Hennessee and her grandson Logan Hennessee.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emanuel Diskes, her brother Dave Plaskonka, and her sister Carol Waggoner.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services per her request. Final resting place will be Atwater Cemetery. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
