She was born December 2, 1936, in Randolph, Ohio, to parents Urban and Anna Mae (Rider) Paulus. Jean graduated from Randolph High School and on September 15, 1956, married the love of her life Ralph Stanley, after meeting him at the dance hall in Rootstown. Together, they raised six children.
Jean is survived by her husband Ralph, children: Debbie Pittinger, Connie (Dean) Zarbo, Terri Kaehne, Mary (Milton) Page, Karen (Mark) Gaski, and Ralph (Kathy) Stanley, as well as her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister Jane Bedard, sister Ann Wibert, and brother Lee (Yvonne) Paulus.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law Paul Kaehne, and siblings Rita Kotkowski, Carl, Roy, Glenn, and Mark Paulus.
Jean was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish. She was devoted to her family. Jean retired from Ohio Ceramic Supply in 1996. She also was a cake decorator and accomplished seamstress. Jean helped make many weddings special occasions with her cakes and dresses.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend William Kraynak on Friday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
