She was born September 11, 1940, in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Janet was a nurse at Robinson Memorial Hospital for many years before becoming a visiting nurse. She and her husband, Bruce, were longtime members of the Goldwing Road Riders. They rode together, zig zagging across the country many times. Janet also enjoyed baking, knitting, and gardening, as well as painting and crafts.
On November 28, 1959, she married her beloved Bruce Hastings. In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by her daughter Deborah (Bryan) Watson, her son Bryan (Sheila) Hastings, her grandchildren: Marcus (Lauren) Watson, Lucus Watson, Brianna Hastings, and Dakota Hastings. Janet was preceded in death by her mother Bertece (Day) Dyke and her brother William Dyke.
Janet’s wishes for cremation are being honored, and she will be laid to rest at Edinburg Cemetery on a later date. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
