She was born June 13, 1946, in Marytown, West Virginia, to parents William Leonard and Minnie Louise (White) Brooks.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 37 ½ years John C. Lowe, her two sons: “Her Baby” Johnny L. (Cindy Lewis) Lowe of Ravenna and Robert C. Anderson of Akron, a daughter Tina Gibson of Ravenna, step-daughter Kris Lowe (Dave) Senters of Kentucky. As well as her three sisters Brenda S. Cripple of Akron, Barbara A. (Stan) Hillis of Ravenna, and Pamela K. Johrendt of Akron, along with her 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Waiting to greet her in Heaven are her parents, a sister Patricia M. (Brooks, Ritchey) Blankenship, a brother-in-law Samuel D. Cripple Sr., and her nephew Samuel D. Cripple Jr.
Helen was a waitress for several area establishments, including East Park in Ravenna and Bob’s Big Boy in Streetsboro. She also worked at Twin Star Lanes for several years. Helen loved spending time taking care of anyone who needed her help. She loved flowers, especially her roses. Helen collected Angels, and now she is one.
Friends will be received Friday, January 8, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Her nephew, Pastor Jeff Aten, will officiate the funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
