He was born May 18, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, to parents George and Elizabeth (Barchalk) Hilbruner. George proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Navy during WWII.
He went on to have a long career as a self-employed machinist. George owned and operated Easy Mold in Rootstown later moving the shop to Atwater. He had a natural ability fix or invent new items. George could often be found tinkering around his home or working in his garden.
He is survived by 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
