Cynthia Anne Rice

Cindi was born on March 28th, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Leonard and Annabelle Sliwinski. She grew up in Detroit with her family and went to Denby High School. She met her love, Doug Rice, in November of 1979. They were married on August 2nd, 1982. During their time together they raised three children and had five grandchildren. They lived in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and back to Ohio where they settled into their retirement life together.

She was a kind soul who was an advocate for the injustices of humans and animals. Her hobbies included crocheting, coloring, tinkering, gardening and was known as a collector of many things. She loved coffee, the warmth of the sun, sunrises, the spring season, and flowers of any kind, but specifically, carnations. She enjoyed singing and dancing. She was always quick with a joke and punny antics.

She is survived by her loving husband, Doug, three children, and their spouses, Amber (Josh), Chad (Linda), and Chantal (Rick), and blessed with five grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Kaycie, Rebekah and Thalia, her siblings, Diane, Julie, Lenny, and many other family members, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard P. Sliwinski, and her mother, Annabelle Elizabeth Sliwinski.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at their home located at 3908 State Route 225, Diamond, Ohio, 44412, and will accept family and friends.
