A Bright Light Taken Too Soon
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our beloved Claire, a precious 3 ½ -year-old girl whose joyful spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Claire's life was tragically cut short on July 3, 2023, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. As we come together to celebrate her short, yet impactful life, we find solace in the cherished memories she leaves behind.
Born on October 26, 2019, to parents Jennie Celaschi and Douglas Kolt, Claire brought immeasurable joy and boundless laughter into the lives of her parents, her little sister Olivia, and her extended family and friends. From the moment she entered this world, Claire radiated an undeniable warmth and love that embraced all who knew her. Her big brown eyes and infectious smile had the power to light up any room, and her playful giggle was music to the ears of those fortunate enough to hear it.
Claire was a beacon of love, empathy, compassion and excitement, her enthusiasm for life was contagious. Claire loved having dance parties in the kitchen with her mom and going for golf cart rides with her dad where they would watch the airplanes take off; Claire was always sure to pick a bouquet of wildflowers to give to her mother upon their return. Her newest joy was going for boat rides where she would yell to her daddy, “faster, faster!” She possessed a natural curiosity that fueled her sense of wonder - every night she looked forward to sitting on the porch, watching as the sun would slowly set, giving way to the night sky. She loved learning about the stars and planets and was always sure to say goodnight to the moon before bedtime. Whether she was planting flowers in her garden, cuddling with her beloved ‘good puppers,’ Marty, the family dog, or wearing her Princess Elsa dress while singing Let It Go at the top of her lungs, Claire approached every moment with an unparalleled enthusiasm and love.
A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin, Claire's presence brought joy to the lives of her extended family. Her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins cherished the time they spent with her, creating memories that will be forever etched in their hearts. Claire always looked forward to blowing bubbles and playing ‘chase’ with her adoring ‘Gammy,’ and putting apples out for the deer with her beloved ‘PeePaw,’ where she would stand at the top of the hill and throw the apples as far into the woods as her little arm would allow. Claire's infectious laughter and loving nature will forever be a reminder of the preciousness of family bonds.
Claire is survived by her parents, Jennie Celaschi (Mother), Douglas Kolt (Father), Olivia Kolt (Sister), Cindy Celaschi (Grandmother), Christopher H. Celaschi (Grandfather) and John P.
