Angela Pauline Geer

Angela Pauline Geer, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was born in Ferentino, Italy, on December 26, 1919, the daughter of the late Saturno and Caroline Padovani.

Angela began an avid golf career in 1973 holding offices in leagues at Chestnut Hills, Kent State University, and Windmill Lakes golf courses. Even into her nineties sports remained a passion of hers. She also cherished the friendships she made in her card club that met for over twenty years. Angie was a homemaker who will always be known for her gift of hospitality. Her family will never forget her homemade pies.

Angie was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Linda Barton (Grady) Perryman; her sister Mary (Don) DeBolt; grandchildren: Brian (Joannie) Hite, Erika (Lloyd) Elrod, Matthew (Kristi) Meyer, and John (Susan) Meyer; great-grandchildren: Logan and Mason Elrod; nephew Steven DeBolt; and neighbors Jeff and Del Dubinsky.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, sister Josephine Muratore, brothers Thomas, Carl, and Vincent Naso, son-in-law Lawrence Meyer, and nephew Andrew DeBolt.

Angie’s wish in her later years was to continue to live in her home. Jeff and Del Dubinsky, whose years of loving care, made that wish come true. There are no words to thank them enough for their generosity and kindness.

The family also sends gratitude to the staffs of Meals in Motion, Visiting Physicians, Visiting Angels, and Longmeadow Care Center.

There will be no local service or visitation. A celebration of her life will be held in North Carolina at a later date. Final resting place will be St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
