Sue Emma Jean Underhill Tilley

She had a wonderful childhood working on the farm with her parents Benjamin Franklin & Addie Louise Underhill and her siblings James, Laverne, Edith, Ethel, Dolly, Anna & Marguerite. She spoke often of the love they all shared. She was a loving mother and gave her all as a CNA III nurse at Rex Hospital for 42 years. She loved giving the best care of all of her patients. She loved the Lord endlessly and was dedicated to her church (Faith Community Church) in Clayton, NC. Her favorite past times were crocheting, reading and writing down scripture and being around her family.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Ben Underhill, her mother, Addie Underhill; her husband, Joseph Tilley; her daughter, Louise Grainger; her son's, William Tilley and Mack Tilley; Cynthia Johnson's husband, Danny Johnson; Charles Tilley's girlfriend, Wanda Thigpen; her sisters, Dolly, Marguerite, Laverne, Anna, Edith, and Ethel; and her brother, James Underhill.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jean Hobson and fiancé, Tim Allen of Willow Spring, NC, and Cynthia Ann Johnson of Raleigh, NC; her son, Charles Leroy Tilley of Clayton, NC; her five grandchildren, Ann Marie Williams and husband Brad Williams of Garner, NC, Chris Moseley and husband Bubba Moseley of Garner, NC, William "Billy" McDowell of Morganton, NC, Teresa Grainger and Bonnie Grainger; her great-grandchildren, Elijah McDowell, IanTyer McDowell, Issac McDowell, Grant Moseley, and Miranda Avalle and husband Raymond Avalle.

She has gone home to be with her Lord and is surrounded by the loved one who passed before her. We are sure that she is singing hymns and dancing with joy to her favorite song "Jesus loves me".

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11th at 11:00 am at Raleigh Memorial Park, Raleigh.
