Ronald Wayne Harris I

He was born in South Boston, Virginia, February 3, 1958 to the proud parents of Junius S. Harris and Edith V. Harris. He graduated from William Fleming High School in 1975.

At the age of 19, he joined The United States Army where he served a short while and given an Honorable Discharge.

He met the love of his life, his wife, Dorean at age 21. They were together 31 years, married 24 years, where they gave birth to 4 beautiful children: Laneisha Michelle, Laqisa Monne’, Layonna Edith Monique, and Ronald Wayne Harris II.

He is survived by Mother, Edith Harris, Sister, Barbara Harris, Sister, Wanda Harris, Brother, Brian Harris Brother Mark Harris and a host extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Junius Harris and brother, Zachary Harris

His family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, North Carolina 27612. A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, his family will also receive friends at Long Lake Club House, 6841 Silver View Lane, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27613 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m..
