Robert J. Bonasera

Robert James Bonasera, 76, passed away on February 12, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on February 23, 1934, in New York, NY, to his parents the late John and Gladys Bonasera.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Bea Bonasera, his loving daughters: Debbie Powell, Diane Sauer and her husband Dave, and Donna Harvey and her husband Guy, all of Raleigh. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Evan Sauer, Allison Powell, Brooke and Blake Harvey; and his brothers, John Bonasera and his wife Marjorie, of Pennsylvania, William Bonasera and his wife Diane, of New York and brother-in-law Herbert Nowak, of New York.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. The funeral mass will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday February 16, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
