She was born in Raleigh, NC on July 30, 1944 to the late Ashville and Pearl Bowling.
Peggy was an active athlete and outdoorswoman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, basketball, softball and bowling. She was also an avid car enthusiast and who had a passion and excitement for life.
Peggy is survived by her daughters; Regina Hayes Wheeler and Sabrina Hayes Pearce; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; Sister, Linda Bowling Godwin (Dennis), four dogs and many family and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her sons, Tony Hayes and Randolph Hayes; four siblings and one grandchild.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be at 6:30pm on June 29, 2021 at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church, 9050 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC, 27615 with the Reverend Steve Gray officiating.
