Nell Fulghum Wright entered into the Presence of the Lord Jesus and His Perfect Peace and Joy on Monday, July 11, 2016, after a long illness. She fought the fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Nell is rejoicing in her Victory in Jesus as she heard His words, 'Well done my good and faithful servant.'
She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Thomas Fulghum and James Lavoisier Fulghum. She was a lifelong Girl Scout, and a passionate Wolfpacker, who loved the outdoors, and her family. Her greatest joy was Following her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and living for Him day by day. She was used by the Lord in a remarkable way through her 'card ministry' and untold numbers have been blessed by the Lord's Words through her in those precious notes of Love. She served as the Treasurer for Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was well known for her famous poems.
Nell was a remarkable Prayer Warrior and the fruit of her labor will continue into eternity. She also had a remarkable ministry to all nine of her grandchildren who have been blessed by her many labors of love.
Nell was predeceased by her beloved husband, Isaac Wright, and her precious firstborn daughter, Nell Pritchett Wright.
She is survived by her son, Isaac Clark Wright, Jr. of New Bern, his wife Johanna and their daughters, Hannah and Lizzy; her son, Bryan Wright of Raleigh, his wife Angela and their children, Phillip, Kristin, and Allison; and her daughter, Betsy Eichel of Apex, and her children Michelle Fuller and her husband Steven, and Sarah, Lydia, and David; and many beloved nephews and nieces.
The family is so grateful for the tender loving care that Evelyn Reeves, Anne Moir Shelton, Janet Mwanza, and Hannah gave Nell in her final months on earth.
The Celebration of the Resurrection will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Koinonia House of Prayer, P.O. Box 30907, Raleigh, NC 27622, where Nell's son serves as pastor; or Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
