Mary Blanche Smith

She was a beautician and spent much of her life helping people to look beautiful. She owned and operated North Ridge Beauty Shop in Raleigh for many years.

She was married to John Delano Smith in 1940. They were married for 48 years until his passing in 1988.

Blanche is survived by her only daughter, Billie Sue Rudolph, son-in-law Bob Rudolph, grandchildren Norman Chambers Jr. and Jennifer Tolbert, great grandchildren Morgan Powers, Mary Madison McHugh, Jacob McHugh, and Sophia Chambers, great grandchildren, Rylee and Turner Powers, and her sister Jean Cummins.

She was succeeded in death by brothers Homer & Charles Stooksbury, sisters Lorene Worthington, Louise Fenoglio, and Patsy Cummins.

Visitation of the family and viewing will be at 2:00 pm Friday, November 11th, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm. at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. There will be a private graveside ceremony on Saturday.

Our family is thankful for the caregivers at Cadence Assisted living, and for Vonda Jo Rudolph and Bob Rudolph for taking such good care of her.
