Mary Gregg Hasty

Mary Gregg lived the first 35 years of her life in Virginia, graduating from Pan American Business School. She also attended Mary Baldwin University. Mary Gregg worked as a secretary for Newport News Shipbuilding before becoming a full-time homemaker. She and Wayne met at the Shipyard and were married for 52 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne. She is survived by her brother Scott (Laurie) Hardaway of Hayes, Virginia; daughters Anne Caswell (Darren) Racine of Alpharetta, Georgia; Beth Moten of Temecula, California and Mary Lynne Hasty of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren Isaiah & Olivia Moten, Reed, Blake, Logan & Caden Racine; nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mary Gregg was a woman of strong faith with a heart for serving others. Her greatest joy was her family and sharing her love of baking with her friends, neighbors and church communities.

Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Stonybrook Church – A United Methodist Faith Community, Gahanna, Ohio.

A celebration of life will be planned for this summer in Virginia.
