Marsha Ruth Hyman Moore "Markie" passed away suddenly Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born in Rocky Mount on August 22, 1946, the daughter of the late E. Talmadge Hyman and Ruth Brock Hyman. She grew up in Elizabeth City, attended Elizabeth City High School and NC State University and College. She recently retired from the North Carolina Department of Labor.
She is survived by her significant other, Dr. Leonard W. White, mother Ruth Hyman, brothers Eddie and Jay Hyman, nephew Ed Hyman III and niece Kelsey McLemore.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1pm at the Chapel at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marsha's name to any dog or cat rescue organization.
