Kristina Rynae Michaud

Kristina Rynae Michaud, 34, passed away on Monday morning, May 11, 2020. Born August 21, 1985 in Hollywood, Florida; she was the daughter of Alice and Keith Kirton, of Raleigh. After the family relocated to Raleigh in 1997, Kristina graduated from high school in 2003. She attended Miller Motte College and earned a degree in cosmetology.

Kristina enjoyed becoming a hairdresser and being able to share her talents at the Raleigh Women’s Shelter. She also went on a mission trip with her church to Nicaragua to witness to children. She loved volunteering at the Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Ranch helping children during their horse therapy sessions.

Kristina was a loving mother to her son, Joseph Giovanni (6) and her daughter, Annabelle Rose (3). Joey and Bella were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her parents and children; by her aunts Rosemary Thorne (Rick), of Montana, Carole Durfee (Bill) of Florida, Kim Travolina (Tommy) of Tennessee, Kelly Alvarado (Rei) of Georgia and their families; and by her numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rose Larker, Ann Kirton and Lowell Kirton; by her uncle Gavin Kirton and by her aunt Donna Addis.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 11 am in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to her children's trust under the care of their grandparents - Alice and Keith Kirton. Please contact them directly for mailing information.
