Kathryn "Kathy" Lee Paul Hardy

Kathy passed away after an extended and courageous battle with colon cancer on Monday, June 27. She was the cherished daughter of Kathryn Paul, loving wife of Mark Hardy and the proud mother of Rob and John Hardy who will all cherish her memory. Kathy was pre-deceased by her father, Duffy Paul, and her brother, Gary Paul.

Kathy grew up in Raleigh and attended Appalachian State University graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BSBA in Business Management and a minor in Psychology. She worked in Human Resources for over 25 years and was most recently employed as the HR Manager for Falls of Neuse Management LLC.

Kathy loved to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate than she. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own. When she made others smile, that made her smile.

The family would like to thank Dr. Elizabeth Campbell, Dr. Hope Uronis, Margot O’Neil PA-C, the Transitions LifeCare staff, and all the other medical professionals who provided care for Kathy during her illness.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1st at 11:00 AM at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, followed by a graveside service at Historic Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 30th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh.

While flowers are welcome, memorial donations may also be made to the Gary Ward Paul Scholarship Fund at Louisburg College or to a charity of your choice.
