He was devoted to his profession as an educator, and taught Spanish first at Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, North Carolina, then for over a decade at Durham School of the Arts in Durham, North Carolina.
He is survived by his children Isabel and Mateo, his parents Carlos and Susana, and his siblings Dayra, Lynda, Ana Paula and Adrian. He cared deeply for his family. He had strong love and admiration for his children, and reveled in their accomplishments and successes.
In his free time, Pablo loved to go on hikes and long walks. His favorite walking spots were Umstead State Park and the North Carolina Museum of Art, where his children grew up accompanying him on long walks throughout the years. He had a passion for South American and European soccer, and he never missed watching all World Cup Games every four years. He and Mateo enjoyed fishing and working out together at the gym; he and Isabel would share life happenings over brunches at First Watch.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home at 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609 on Tuesday, April 4 at 5:00pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:30pm.
