Joan Pershing Fabry, 85, Carlsbad, CA, passed away on April 17, 2013. Born in Ligonier, PA on March 7, 1928, she was the daughter of Colonel Clarence H. Pershing and Olive H. Pershing.
She was a graduate of Ligonier High School, where she was the head majorette. Mrs. Fabry is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Harry W. Fabry, son Harry W. Fabry, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, daughter Victoria J. Fabry and granddaughter Madeleine P. Crockett-Fabry of Carlsbad, CA, and brother John H. Pershing of Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Zepfel of Ontaria, Canada.
Services will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609 followed by a short visitation and internment at Raleigh Memorial Park.
