Janet Lee Lemon, 85, of Raleigh passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023 at TerraBella Sr. Living. Janet was a native of Raleigh, born on December 16,1937 to the late Daniel M. Lemon and Mattie Lee Lemon.
Janet grew up in Raleigh, attended Myrtle Underwood and graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1957. She was long-time member of Saint John's Baptist Church in Raleigh.
She is survived by her two sisters, Shirley L. Collins of Westminster, CA and Emma L. Brown of Silver Spring, MD; two nephews, Steven and Brian Collins; one niece, Stephanie Paulhamus (Jim); and two great-nephews, Andrew and Ryan Paulhamus.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 12 noon at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint John's Baptist Church, 1615 Oberlin Rd. Raleigh, NC 27608.
