Janet Harris Towle Hathaway

Janet attended Ravenscroft on Tucker St. and graduated from St. Mary's and UNC Chapel Hill where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Janet was a flight attendant with Capital United airlines. She did publicity work when the airline introduced a new aircraft, the Vicount.

Janet was predeceased by husbands Melville Woodman Towle and Dr. Albert Earl Hathaway. She is survived by a son, Melville "Woody" Towle of Raleigh, daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Love and husband Steve and grandchildren Christian and Ashton of Rocky Mount, daughter Anne Towle Neville and husband Davidson and grandchildren Wesleigh and Vance of Smithfield, and one brother, Leon S. Harris.

A final farewell to her old Raleigh and UNC friends, Mary Ann, Anne H., Sally, Laura, and especially Jo Heiss, who exemplified the values of true friendship until Janet's passing.

Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Friday, March 28th at 11:00 am.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice of Wake County.
