Helen Sage Ayers, 90, passed away on September 2, 2015. Born to the late John F. Sage and Helen McRae Sage of Prescott, Arkansas on March 31, 1925, she is survived by her husband of 37 years William B. Ayers, three children from a previous marriage, two sisters, four step children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Helen taught music in the public school system for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, 112 S. Salisbury St. Raleigh, NC. at 2:00 pm. The family will receive guests prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 E. Edenton St., Raleigh.
