Geneva Pearman Moorefield died Friday September 7, 2012 at her residence at Magnolia Glen Retirement Community of Raleigh surrounded by family and the devoted caregivers of Magnolia Glen and Heartland Hospice Care.
She was predeceased by her parents, John Henry Pearman and Holly Arnettie Wilson; 8 brothers and sisters; husband, Morris Irone Moorefield; and an infant daughter, Morrisann Moorefield.
She is survived by son, K. Michael Moorefield and daughter-in-law Karen D. Moorefield of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Sally M. Moseley and son-in-law Bob N. Moseley of Raleigh; granddaughters, Sarah C. Moseley and Anna E. Moseley of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Madison of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Raleigh. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Stokesdale United Methodist Church cemetery, Guilford Co.
