Donovan Fred Truesdell

Donovan was born October 8, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to the late Willard Martin Truesdell and Irene Oakleaf Truesdell. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Donovan was a systems engineer for IBM retiring with over 28 years of service. He was a faithful member of Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Donovan was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Martin Truesdell.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne Francisco Truesdell; sons, Donovan Fred Truesdell, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Reisterstown, MD; and Samuel Karl Truesdell and his wife, Patti of Concord, NC; daughters, Karen Lu Truesdell Rodenhizer of Durham; and Mary Anne Truesdell Stangby and her husband, Larry of Cincinnati, OH; and 6 grandchildren: Briehan Emily and Chelsey Beth Truesdell, Donovan Chance Truesdell, Hilarie Anne and Brooke Taylor Rodenhizer and Lucille Ridgely Stangby.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4801 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Inurnment will follow the service in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Wake County or Saint Mark's United Methodist Church.
