David Randall "Randy" Poole

David Randall “Randy” Poole, 57, of Raleigh, passed away September 22, 2017. Randy grew up in Clayton, North Carolina. Growing up, he enjoyed playing football, basketball and golf, with golf and snow skiing being sports he enjoyed throughout his life. He received a Technical Degree from Johnston Community College and a Bachelor’s of Business from North Carolina Wesleyan College.

Randy worked for VisionNet, as a Business Development Manager. In his free time, Randy enjoyed traveling. No matter where he went, he never met a stranger. He had a great outlook on life, always looking at his glass half full. While fighting cancer, he remembered Jimmy V saying “never, ever give up” and used that as his life moto even up until the end.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Mary C. High-Poole; son, Bryce Christian Poole; brothers, Reginald “Dickie” Poole, Jr., Rusty Poole, and Robert Poole (Lisa); sister, Frances Jones (Newitt); step mother, Bette Goodwin Poole; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Mary Poole.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 28 from 6:00-8:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s St., Raleigh. A service will be held Friday, September 29 at 1:00pm, also at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home.
