Cynthia Marie Taylor Honeycutt

Cynthia was born in Duplin County, April 1, 1934 to the late Laughtie James Taylor and Margaret Essie Cooke Taylor. She was a woman of enormous strength, always trying to do the right thing. She was kind gentle and known for teaching “it doesn’t cost anything to be kind”. As a devoted Christian, Cynthia was an active member of Millbrook Baptist Church for over 35 years. She retired from BB&T and NC Employment Security Commission. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with Gary and spending time with her family.

Cynthia will be greatly missed by those who survive her: her beloved husband, Gary Honeycutt: daughter, Wanda Shackleford (Charlie); daughter-in-law, Elaine Judge; stepchildren, Annette Clay (John); Gayle Ludwick (Terry); and Jeff Honeycutt (Wendy); grandchildren, Crystal, Lindsey, Emily, Chris, Jason, Colby, Catie, Dylan and Jill; great grandchildren, Julieana and Janay; sisters, Audrey Murphy, Martha Lanier and Brother, Clifton Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sons, William “Bill” Wesley Judge and Larry Wayne Judge.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, 2:00 PM, November 7, 2013 at Millbrook Baptist Church, 1519 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh NC 27609. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Blvd, Raleigh NC 27617. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
