Charlotte Battle Robbins, age 72, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on November 29, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Braswell Battle and Charlotte Timberlake Battle.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward Todd Robbins, and her daughters, Charlotte Jordan Robbins Barratt and husband, Patrick Thomas Barratt, and Margaret Falconer Robbins Warren and husband, Scott Bradford Warren; her four beloved granddaughters, Charlotte, Llewellyn, Elizabeth, and Sedley; and her two precious black labs, Emma and Darcy.
Charlotte spent her childhood in Rocky Mount and was a graduate of The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia and Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia. After marrying Todd, Charlotte moved to Memphis where she raised her daughters and built relationships as a devoted wife, mother, and friend.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Calvary Episcopal Church, Memphis, TN. A reception will be held in the great hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Charlotte’s memory to Calvary Episcopal Church, 102 N. 2nd Street, Memphis, TN 38103 and The Church of the Good Shepherd, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
