Carolyn graduated from Polytechnic High in San Francisco. She taught the important things in life; how to be open with others, be non-judgmental, be able to forgive, to enjoy the moment and to have fun. Carolyn was a “true solid rock”, with the ability to make others feel welcome and important. She was free spirited and had a compassionate heart. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Martin L. Quinn and will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Lori LaRocca, of Sacramento, CA, Teri LaRocca, of Cary, Renee Hagen and husband Dan, of Charlotte and Holly Hoffman, of Cary. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Leslie, Rebecca, Joshua, Kaila, Jessica, and Noel; her nieces Gina and Crista Travaglio; and by her siblings, twin sister, Marilyn Holstein and husband Sam, of Chapin, SC, Sherry Doubrosky and husband Mike, of Daly City, CA and Richard Catron and wife Mary, of Bodega Bay, CA.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 18, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm. Entombment will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
