He loved his friends and family, and he enjoyed fishing, the beach, and was adept at any sport.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Patti, and by his sister, Caitlyn and husband, Matthew, and their sons, Michael and Benjamin Matuska.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Bob, in 2006 and by his brother, Michael Robert Haase, in 2009.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 6-8 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brian’s memory can be made to the WakeBrook Recovery Center – 111 Sunnybrook Road – Raleigh, NC 27610.
