Kin Kuen Yung

Kin Kuen Yung, our beloved father, passed away peacefully with his loved ones surrounding his bedside at the age of 91 in the early morning on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Born in China, he lived a life of integrity, hard work, and dedication to his family. Graduated from Jinan University in Guangzhou, he became a successful architect at a young age, owning his own firm in Hong Kong. He married the love of his life, our mom Mei Yung Yung with five children and brought us to America for a better life in the 90’s. His guidance was our compass, his strength was our foundation. A man of few words but profound wisdom, Papa taught us the value of honesty, perseverance, and unconditional love. He enjoyed gardening, our mom’s cooking, going on vacations and spending time with grandkids. He often shared stories of his childhood in China and Hong Kong. His legacy lives on through his five children and their spouses, Man Ying Yung (Carmen Sam) and Jimmy Sam, Man Wai Yung (Grace Huang) and Jay Huang, Man Sau Yung (Michelle Wong) and Andy Wong, Man Ching Yung (Karen Quan) and Andy Quan, Man Kit Yung (Danny Yung) and SumYue Lee; and twelve grandchildren, Sabrina Sam, Ethan Huang, Vanessa Sam, Evan Huang, Allie Wong, Aaron Wong, Caroline Quan, Natalie Sam, Leah Yung, Lillian (Lily) Quan , Wallace Yung and Kaylee Wong, whom he adored deeply.

Papa, your spirit lives among all twenty-three of us. We love you!

A funeral service for Kin Kuen will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
