Catherine Anne Reilly

Catherine Reilly (96), beloved wife of the late John T. Reilly. Loving mother of Kathleen (Hank), Patricia (Harry), Theresa (Eric) and the late John. Grandmother to Michelle (Ben), Christopher (Becca), Catherine (Eric), Jessica (Marvin) and Cecillia. Great Grandmother to Ella, John and soon to be Baby Girl T. Sister to JoAnn Lyons.

Catherine will be forever remembered for her strength, faith, kindness and tenacity. She was the life of the party. She enjoyed celebrating and laughing with her family and friends. Catherine liked to say she was the “hostess with the mostess.” Her house was known as “The Do Drop In,” always room for more.

Catherine was an avid crocheter. She loved to gift family and friends blankets and welcomed new babies with booties. She also volunteered her time to Blankets of Love, a program that donates crocheted blankets to people in need.

Catherine will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Catherine will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. A visitation will occur Friday, April 12, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. A mass will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Notre Dame R.C. Church, 25 Mayfair Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. A burial will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590.
