Carol's early life in New York laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for helping people. Her academic pursuits led her to Skidmore College, where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1963. Carol's career was distinguished by her role as one of the first nurse practitioners, in Boston through a program by Harvard Medical & Mass General Hospital in the 1970s. Her unyielding dedication to work and compassionate care left an indelible mark on the countless lives she touched.
Beyond her professional achievements, Carol's interests painted the picture of a woman who cherished life's simple pleasures and the well-being of others. A hardworking and devoted mother, Carol always ensured that her son, Ian Reynolds, was always well taken care of. An avid lover of the outdoors, she relished in biking, long walks, and any opportunity to be near the water. She loved boating and was an long-term member of the Fort Myers Beach Yacht Club.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her son, Ian Reynolds and his fiancée Susan Appleton, her stepdaughters, Rachel Anderson Williams and Erica Anderson Warburton, her brother, Bruce K. Maclaury, her sister, Marilyn Metz, several nieces and nephews and beloved dog Amber. Carol was preceded in death by her cherished first husband, Donald W. Reynolds. Her legacy is one of nurturing and care, a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her generous spirit.
