Theresa Louise Romero, 88, passed away June 6, 2023 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the wife of Miguel “Mike” Romero; they shared 45 years of marriage together. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she was the daughter of Louis Armijo and Francesca Garcia-Armijo. She graduated from Centennial High School, and had several jobs including JC Penny’s and District 60 Schools. She volunteered at the Diabetes Care Center for more than 20 years.
Theresa belonged to St. Leanders Catholic Church, and enjoyed going to bingo and Cripple Creek with her daughters. She will be remembered for her friendly smile and outgoing personality; no one was a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her 12 siblings, and her daughters Ruthie and Christine.
Theresa is survived by her children Michael (Karole), June (Tom), Vincent (Bertha), and Caroline (Mona); grandchildren Robert (Kelly) Rebecca (Shawn), Christopher, Stephanie (Jonathon), Nicole (Steve), Thomas (Sydney), Dani, Malissa (Haushaun), Vince (Kayla), Katheryn, Elizabeth, and David; 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A rosary will be held Friday June 16, 2023 at 5pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Monday June 19, 2023, Eulogy at 9:45am, and funeral at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and livestreamed to their website. Theresa will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
