Sharon Kay Beck

Sharon “Shi” “Itty Bitty”, Kay Beck, 65, passed away July 14, 2020 at her home. She is survived by her sister Jeannie Maher and brother Clifton (Terri) Beck.; niece Julia Velasquez; nephews Douglas, and Daniel Beck. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and a nephew. She was raised in Monte Vista and graduated high school from Monte Vista High in 1973 and later from Adams State College in 1977 with a Masters in Special Education. She began her career as a Special Education teacher right after graduation and continued to teach for Pueblo School District 60 until her retirement in 2010. She also worked for the El Pueblo Boys and Girls Ranch. She was a life member of the Handyman Club of America, she enjoyed making stained glass, crafting, gardening, making candy and always knew the perfect gift to give someone she loved. She loved her Terrier dogs. She was a very smart woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. . A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
