Sandra Lynn Gallo, 80, of Pueblo, Colorado, died on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born on February 28, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas. Sandy had a vivacious spirit and joy as she lived out her faith, loved her family, and looked forward to serving God and others in creative and intentional ways. Sandy adored her sons, nieces & nephews, & great nieces/nephews. She doted on her many dogs through the years that brought her comfort and companionship. Sandy loved travel and adventure, and she found joy in collecting anything and everything! She was a great cook with her special candy & cookie recipes and her famous Pueblo green chile soup. Sandy spent her career with Safeway, making countless friends with her customers and coworkers. After retiring, Sandy and her mother, Helen Harp, became Watkins product distributors - ensuring that family would always find some new Watkins gift under the Christmas tree. Sandy’s stubborn faith and strong will to share life with friends and family carried her through many health struggles in recent years. Sandy loved God and her church where she learned of God’s profound love for her.
Sandy is survived by her two sons, Joe Gallo of Pueblo and Dustin Gallo of Omaha Nebraska; a brother, David Harp (Andrea) of Stanton, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Helen Harp and Harry Barnes; two brothers, Jack Barnes and Troy Barnes.
Services will be Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Steel City Fellowship (formerly Belmont Baptist Church).
