Bob enjoyed his long career as a loved teacher, counselor and assistant coach at Pueblo’s East High School. During the summers, Bob worked several other jobs to keep busy. He was best known for his career in education.
Bob retired and spent his time traveling in their motor home to visit their daughter, son, friends and many relatives. Bob was a man of honor, admiration, gentleness and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed his life to the fullest all the while respecting everyone he encountered. He had an amazingly big heart and always wanted the best for his family. He will be deeply missed.
Bob was a loyal and beloved friend, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather as well as golf partner, animal lover, neighbor, mechanic, artist, woodworker, teacher/counselor and Army Veteran.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Karen; children Robin (Jim) Hayes-Rome, Kelley (Renee) Hayes, grandchildren Jenna (Adam) Gardner, Amber Hayes, A.J. Hayes, great grandson Jax Gardner, Brother Randy (Linda) Hayes, as well as numerous other extended family.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on July 10, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, 310 W 11th Street, Pueblo, CO 81003 with reception to follow.
